ST. SIMONS ISLAND, Ga. - Grand View, an intimate residential development on St. Simons Island, has creatively teamed with the island’s Grand Dame of hospitality, The King & Prince Beach and Golf Resort, to offer a year-long membership at the resort’s award-winning golf course to new Grand View homeowners.
Membership at the King and Prince Golf Course includes full golf privileges, and access to clubhouse, dining, and swim & tennis amenities of the exclusive Hampton Club situated adjacent to the course.
New residents at Grand View, which is located in the Sea Palms West community on St. Simons, already earn membership in Sea Palms’ 27-hole golf club, plus its extensive fitness, swim and tennis centers. The addition of the King and Prince course now affords Grand View residents unlimited play on 45 holes of golf for a full year.
The King and Price course enters 2010 fresh off a comprehensive $3.6 million enhancement program conducted by golf course architect Billy Fuller, the former golf course superintendent at Augusta National Golf Club.
Accolades for The King and Prince Golf Course include ratings by Golf Digest magazine as a Top 10 New Resort Course in 1990 and a 4-Star Winner – Places to Play in 2001.
Grand View is an elegant collection of two- and three-bedroom condominium residences framed by a pristine expanse of coastal Georgia salt marsh. All homes at Grand View feature 10-foot high ceilings throughout, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, private screened porch and pre-wiring for security, high speed internet, cable and satellite television.
Josh Lindenbaum, vice president of development for The Halter Companies, spoke of the intrinsic value of the new resort relationship.

“We are quite thrilled to be able to partner with The King and Prince Resort on behalf of Grand View residents," he said. "The resort’s decades-long legacy of southern charm, consummate service and national-class amenities provide the ultimate enhancement to island living.”
The golf membership at The King and Prince Golf Course is one of three incentive programs currently available to new buyers at Grand View. They can also choose a $2,500 boat-storage stipend good at a marina of their choice, or a $2,500 dining package offered through such popular island restaurants as Halyard’s, Blackwater Grill, Coastal Kitchen, Tramici and Georgia’s Sea Grill.
Grand View looks for these creative incentive programs to perpetuate the momentum gained in 2009, when the community sold 21 residences in a matter of months, one of the few resort real estate offerings in the country to achieve that level of sales success.
